Tina Louise was born Tina Blacker on February 11, 1934, in New York City. Her father owned a candy store, and her mother was a fashion model.
Her parents divorced when she was four, which made her childhood less stable. She lived with different relatives and had a constantly changing home life.
At first, acting wasn’t her goal. She planned to attend Miami University, but everything changed when she saw a friend in a Broadway play. Inspired, she convinced her mother to let her leave college and study acting in New York.
