World’s only nudist golf course hailed as players love playing a round ‘naked and bare foot’ with strangers

There are roughly 40,000 golf courses worldwide, but if you’re looking to play a round without any clothes, the options are much fewer.

La Jenny, located about 60 kilometers from Bordeaux on France’s west coast, is the only dedicated nudist golf course in the world. Visitors have shared positive experiences about the unique setting.

Many golfers spend a lot on gear, but one thing frequently mentioned about La Jenny is how enjoyable it feels to play barefoot—and without anything else. One review on Tripadvisor described the six-hole course as a beautiful spot and said they had fun playing without clothes, even though it didn’t improve their game. Another visitor called the experience “unique and wonderful.”

The sense of freedom while playing is a common highlight in reviews, along with a practical perk—free parking. While naturism is not as common in some places, it has been popular in France since the 1920s. The country has around 150 member clubs that offer holiday accommodations, as well as homes where naturist activities like swimming and sunbathing are the norm.

At La Jenny, nudity is required when the weather allows. The course describes itself as ideal for those who enjoy a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. However, it’s not open to walk-in visitors. Only guests staying at the nearby holiday park can access the golf course.

A five-star review of the holiday park from 2023 praised it as a perfect naturist getaway, offering a forest, beach, and various facilities—without any need for clothing. Everything visitors might need is available on-site, including shops, restaurants, and bars.

For those new to golf, La Jenny offers a free introductory lesson. The course itself has only six holes rather than the standard 18. Prices are affordable, starting at €3 for the driving range. A full day on the green costs €32, with peak season rates at €94. A five-hour golf lesson costs €250 for those who want to improve their game.

Visitors can also pay €132 to play 18 holes at an external course, though this may not be ideal for those who prefer privacy.

The holiday park offers more than just golf. It has a bar, restaurant, launderette, and mini-market. Guests can also buy fresh food from an on-site butcher and fishmonger.

In 2025, La Jenny will open on the last weekend of March and remain operational until the end of September.
