On Friday, December 13, the annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2024 was held at Madison Square Garden in New York. The concert featured several performances, ending with a set by 40-year-old Katy Perry. However, as the night went on, many attendees started leaving the stadium before the show was over.

Katy Perry noticed the audience thinning and addressed the crowd. Speaking from the stage, she commented on the situation, saying, “Hello, everyone. I know, I know, it’s crazy. It’s getting late, and it’s cold outside. You don’t know whether to stay or leave, whether to be in or out, whether to be hot or cold? Just make a decision!”
Later, fans who left early explained their reasons on social media. Some mentioned that the performance had gone on for a long time, and they needed to catch their last train home. Others shared that they had traveled from different cities and had no choice but to leave early. One fan even mentioned missing her train and being stranded in New York until 4 a.m.

The event featured performances from other artists, including Tate McRae, Madison Beer, and Twenty One Pilots. Several celebrities, including actress Sarah Michelle Gellar and TV host Jimmy Fallon, were also in attendance.
