Even those who don’t usually watch reality shows have been talking about a viral clip from La Isla de las Tentaciones, the Spanish version of Temptation Island. The moment can be summed up in three words: “Montoya, Por Favor!”
The show follows couples who are separated and placed in villas with single people, testing their loyalty. While the U.S. version ended in 2003, the Spanish version is now in its eighth season and continues to deliver intense moments. This time, the focus is on José Carlos Montoya, whose reaction has been viewed over 110 million times on X.
A key part of the show is that contestants are shown videos of their partners interacting with others. If their partner is flirting or being unfaithful, emotions run high. When Montoya was called away by the host, Sandra Barneda, he knew something was wrong.
Earlier in the show, Montoya’s girlfriend, Anita Williams, saw him get a lap dance during a challenge. She wasn’t happy about it and later got close to another contestant, Manuel. Montoya had already watched a clip of them kissing in the pool, which left him so upset that he threw the iPad to the ground and dropped to his knees.
