Trisha Paytas Faces Backlash After Revealing Her Second Daughter’s Controversial Name

People are talking about Trisha Paytas more than ever after she picked a unique name for her newborn baby.

The 36-year-old YouTuber, known for her energetic personality and bold content, sparked another public reaction. On June 4, 2024, Paytas and her husband, Moses Hacmon, welcomed their second daughter.

They shared photos on Instagram, showing their older daughter, Malibu Barbie, looking at her newborn sister with affection. The couple’s announcement brought mixed reactions, with many focused on the baby’s name.

This isn’t the first time Paytas has picked an unusual name.

In September 2022, she named her first daughter Malibu Barbie, which also led to strong reactions online. Some people thought the name was fun and unique, while others worried it might cause challenges for the child in the future.

In a May 2023 interview, Paytas told Entertainment Tonight that she styles her daughter in a way that matches her own interests.

“After I found out I was having a daughter, I started dressing her like me,” she said. She enjoys styling her child in outfits inspired by Malibu Barbie because it’s something she has always liked.

Now, the couple’s new baby name is once again a hot topic on social media. While some people praised them for their creativity, others questioned why Paytas always chooses unique names for her children.

Some online users predicted that the child might face difficulties because of her name.

“I can’t imagine why someone would pick such a hard name for their child,” one person commented. “People used to just name their kids Emily or Jessica.”

One social media user wrote, “Please stop naming your kids like this.” Another added, “That baby is definitely changing her name when she’s older.”

Some users even called the name “too much,” saying it might create challenges later in life.

However, many fans supported the choice, saying the name suited the child well. “Elvis is in the building!” one person joked. Another said, “She loves Elvis, and that’s why she picked it. Very cute, I think.”

On her Just Trish podcast, Paytas shared that she always planned on choosing unique names for her children.

In a New York Post interview, she said she loves both Malibu and Elvis as baby names.

She also explained that she had been set on the name Elvis for a long time and was excited to finally use it.
