Days before she passed away from colon cancer, 26-year-old Bailey Hutchins shared her final TikTok post from her hospital bed, maintaining her positive spirit.
For two years, she documented her journey, inspiring millions. When she passed on February 7, many who had never met her mourned deeply, saying they were “crying for a stranger.”

In early 2023, Bailey’s then-boyfriend, Caden Hutchins, shared a difficult update on Instagram.
“The past week has been a rollercoaster. Bailey’s health declined to a point where we had no other option but to bring her into the ER,” he wrote. After an emergency surgery, part of her colon was removed and was found to be cancerous.
Doctors diagnosed Bailey with Stage 3 colon cancer. “Our next step is fighting this. I know Bailey will push through with persistence, positivity, and determination,” Caden wrote.
Instead of stepping away from the public eye, Bailey chose to raise awareness.
She used social media to educate people about early screenings, share updates on her treatment, and encourage others to stay hopeful.

Through her videos, she spoke openly about symptoms, treatments, and the importance of early diagnosis. Despite the challenges, she kept a positive outlook, often smiling and expressing gratitude.
Bailey’s condition worsened, progressing to Stage 4 cancer. Even then, she continued to share her story, refusing to let the disease define her.

Her final update came on January 19 from her hospital bed.
“Don’t mind my hair, I look crazy right now,” she joked. “I’m not going to share any updates on what’s actually going on, I just can’t. But I’m here. And I’m alive.”
On February 8, Caden announced her passing.
“Last night, our Bailey B passed away. We wanted her here forever, but we find peace knowing she’s no longer in pain.”
Her story touched millions.
“I never knew her, but I grieve her loss,” one person commented. Another shared, “Bailey’s journey kept me hopeful as I supported my husband through his cancer battle.”
On Valentine’s Day, Caden posted photos of their life together, captioned: “I loved you in 2013. I loved you in 2025.”
Bailey’s impact will not be forgotten.
