Tiktok Influencer Comes Out As ‘Tri-Gender’ And Fans Offer Praises

In 2022, TikTok creator Emily Skvarch shared with their followers that they identify as trigender. Recently, their video has resurfaced, bringing renewed attention to their story.

However, this identity is not recognized by the Trump administration, which recently issued an executive order stating that there are only two genders—male and female. The order, called ‘Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government,’ says: “It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female.”

Since the order was signed, some major changes have taken place. Transgender women will no longer be housed in female prisons, and the ‘X’ gender marker on passports has been removed. This means non-binary and intersex people no longer have an alternative gender option on official documents.

Even though the government now only recognizes two genders, it does not change how individuals identify. Emily, for example, continues to embrace their identity.

Emily, who uses she, he, and they pronouns, recently posted a video addressing their resurfaced 2022 clip.

“People are talking about my old video again,” Emily said in the TikTok post.

For those who hadn’t seen the original, Emily took the chance to reintroduce themselves.

“Hi, I’m Emily. I go by any pronouns because I am trigender,” they explained. “That means I am a man, a woman, and non-binary at the same time.”

They further explained how this identity works. “It’s similar to gender fluidity, but instead of moving between identities, I feel all of them at once.”

According to VeryWellMind, trigender falls under a broader category that includes bigender, pangender, and gender fluid identities.

Emily also mentioned that some people call them “triangle” to mock them, but they don’t mind. “Honestly, I think it’s cute. I like who I am, and I’m not changing.”

Many people showed their support for Emily. One person commented, “Your video helped me think about my own identity. Thank you!” Another added, “Why do people care so much about how others live? Let’s just promote happiness.”

Despite different opinions, Emily remains confident in their identity. “I will always be me, and no one can take that away.”
