Tiger gives birth to a lifeless cub only to have caretakers astonished when her mother’s instincts kick in

Giving birth is an incredible experience, full of joy and excitement, but it also brings some fear. Many parents-to-be wonder if everything will be okay and whether their baby will be healthy. This feeling is not only true for humans but also for animals.

Recently, a touching video was shared showing a Sumatran tiger giving birth to two cubs at the Australia Zoo.

Sumatran tigers are an endangered species, with only about 400 to 600 left in the wild. Because of this, humans are doing their best to protect them from extinction. The caretakers at the zoo carefully watched over the first-time mother, Kaitlyn, as she gave birth. They were prepared to help if anything went wrong, but it wasn’t needed.

Kaitlyn’s motherly instincts kicked in when her first cub was born and wasn’t breathing well. The caretakers were ready to step in, but Kaitlyn took action right away. She started licking her cub, trying to help him breathe. Her licking helped the baby start to breathe on his own. Even though it took a few tries, she didn’t give up. After a few seconds, the baby cub started breathing properly.

Despite a difficult start, everything turned out well for this new mother and her cubs.

It was amazing to see this miracle of life unfold right before our eyes. We’re so glad we could witness such a beautiful moment.
