Over 10 years ago, Jonna Jinton made a big decision to follow her dream. She grew up in Gothenburg, a big city in Sweden, but when she turned 21, she left everything behind and moved 600 miles north into the forests of Sweden.
Jonna moved to Grundtjarn, a small village in northern Sweden with only 10 people living there. It’s a place where her grandparents once lived. Now, she lives close to nature and focuses on her true passion – creating art. Every day, Jonna takes photos of nature’s beauty, capturing both day and night scenes.
Jonna finds her inspiration in nature. “Nature, for me, is the most important thing I have. It’s where I get all my inspiration from,” she told the Swedish news site Expressen.

The 29-year-old creates videos about her life in the north of Sweden and has gained millions of views. She now has 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube. One of her recent videos talks about how cold the Swedish fall and winter can be. Jonna shared that she was often sick from the cold last year but feels that this winter will be better.
Jonna believes that to grow, you need to challenge yourself. That’s why she regularly takes cold baths in a nearby lake. In one of her videos, Jonna steps into the freezing water for the first time of the season. As the cold water rises to her neck, she looks like she’s struggling to breathe.

“I feel a thousand times more alive when walking into ice-cold water, and I can feel the blood rushing through my body, doing everything it can to keep me alive. At this moment, I am completely present,” she says in the video. Jonna’s experience is inspiring, and watching her challenge herself is truly amazing.
