His style often includes pumps, boots, and skirts, and he uses his platform to share his belief that clothing shouldn’t be gendered. Mark prefers wearing skirts over dresses because it allows him to pair them with more traditionally masculine tops.
He also thinks skirts offer more variety than typical pants or slacks that many men wear to work. Mark’s kids support his fashion choices. He’s raised them to understand that clothing doesn’t define a person’s gender or sexuality.
His daughter is particularly excited about his wardrobe and looks forward to the day when she can borrow his clothes. Mark’s wife is also supportive, helping him pick out outfits and offering encouragement.
Not everyone shares their view, though. Mark has faced criticism both online and in person for his fashion choices. When people question him or make negative comments, he reminds them that they likely wouldn’t say anything if he were wearing more traditional clothing, like pants.
