A video has captured the moment a Delta Airlines flight crash-landed in Toronto on February 17 and somehow flipped upside down.
Flight 4819 was arriving at Toronto Pearson International Airport from Minneapolis, Minnesota, when it crashed on the runway.

There were 80 people onboard, including 76 passengers and four crew members. Officials confirmed that everyone managed to evacuate safely.
However, 18 people were taken to the hospital for treatment. Three of them suffered serious injuries, according to Ornge, a medical transport company. The injured include a child, a woman in her 40s, and a man in his 60s. Their identities have not been made public.

A video of the landing, shared on Twitter by ‘airmainengineer’, shows the moment the plane touched the ground. Right after landing, the back of the aircraft caught fire, sending smoke into the air.
The plane then continued moving down the runway, leaving a trail of smoke behind. Many online users expressed shock at how everyone survived.

“This is unbelievable… so lucky no one lost their life,” one person commented. Another wrote, “That is crazy! Glad everyone made it out safely!”
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released a statement saying that the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is working with Canadian officials to investigate the crash.

According to international aviation rules, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada will release updates on the investigation.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian also shared a statement, saying: “The entire Delta family is thinking of those affected by today’s incident.” He also thanked first responders and Delta staff for their quick actions.

A recording from LiveATC.net revealed communication between air traffic control and the flight crew before the crash. The controller gave clearance to land on Runway 23, while also warning about strong winds up to 33 knots.
Shortly after, air traffic control confirmed the crash and called for emergency assistance.
