Police officer surprises 7-year-old boy selling lemonade with a pair of brand new sneakers for school

Who doesn’t enjoy a classic lemonade stand?

There’s something special about seeing a child excited to sell a cold cup of lemonade on a warm, sunny day.

Recently, a young boy named Landen set up a lemonade and cookie stand near his home. While he was selling, a police officer approached him. Landen’s grandmother captured the moment and shared it on Facebook.

She wrote, “We often talk about the bad things, but today I was blessed by Officer J. Perez of Ansonia PD.”

Officer Perez from the Ansonia Police Department in Connecticut stopped to chat with Landen. He asked him what he planned to do with the money he earned.

Landen told him he was saving up to buy a pair of blue sneakers for school.

After a friendly conversation, Officer Perez left.

A little while later, Landen saw the officer return. This time, he wasn’t just stopping by to talk. He had something in his hands—a brand-new pair of blue sneakers.

Landen was beyond excited. His grandmother, Wendelyn Narvaez, said the officer’s kind gesture made Landen feel like a king.

Days later, she shared a photo of Landen proudly wearing his new sneakers.

Ansonia Police Chief Wayne Williams later praised Officer Perez, saying officers like him are exactly the kind of people they want on the force.

Stories like this remind us that while we often hear negative news, there are also officers doing good things every day. This small but thoughtful act left a big impact on a young boy’s life.
