Plus-size influencer who needs two seats on Disneyland ride fumes as visitors ‘stare and secretly film her’

A plus-size influencer has shared her frustration after facing stares and recording at Disneyland. Gracie Bon, 27, planned a fun day with her family but said the experience quickly turned into a “nightmare” when visitors reacted to her presence. She later posted a video about it to her 10 million Instagram followers, and it has already been viewed 5.2 million times.

In the video, she questioned, “Are people really not used to seeing big girls like me at Disneyland?” From the moment she arrived, she noticed people staring, whispering, and even pulling out their phones to record her. “Some parents started filming me, so I decided to film them back,” she said. To do this, she handed her special camera glasses to her brother so he could capture the reactions.

“I was shocked by what I saw,” she said. “People were acting like they had never seen someone my size before. But almost 40 percent of people here are plus-size, so why was I treated like an unusual sight?” She also spoke about unrealistic expectations, adding, “What do people want me to do? Shrink myself overnight just to go to an amusement park?”

Despite the attention, she tried to enjoy her visit. “I wasn’t going to let this ruin my day. I needed two seats on the Slinky Dog ride, but that just means double the fun!” She ended the video by asking her followers, “What would you do in my situation?”

The video showed her walking through the park, taking pictures with Disney characters, and capturing moments where visitors reacted to her. It also showed her needing two seats on a Toy Story ride.

Her post gained 87,700 likes and nearly 11,000 comments, but many people criticized her. Some wrote, “You know exactly why people are looking,” while others claimed her body looked unnatural. Others accused her of seeking attention and trying to create controversy.

This isn’t the first time she has faced criticism. In response to past negative comments, she has defended herself, saying, “This is what God gave me.”
