Nikki Thot and Jamie Perkins’ kids – inside their life today

When blonde Jamie Perkins married dark-skinned model Nikki Thot, their relationship seemed like a modern love story. They had two beautiful daughters, but over time, things fell apart.

How Jamie and Nikki Met

In 2009, Jamie and Nikki first connected on MySpace, a popular social media site at the time.

Nikki, then 19, was already gaining attention as a South Sudanese-Australian model, signed with a top agency in New York. Jamie, 25, was starting his career in music video production.

A year later, in March 2010, they got married. Their first daughter, Ava, was born in 2016, and their second, Zoe, arrived in 2018. The family also had a dog named Louis.

Their Rise to Social Media Fame

Nikki and Jamie quickly became social media influencers, launching a YouTube channel that gained millions of followers.

“We didn’t plan it; it just happened,” Jamie told Daily Mail Australia in 2018.

Their big break came when Jamie’s proposal went viral.

The Proposal Video

Jamie knew Nikki loved proposal videos and wanted to create something special.

He arranged for a video to be played in Federation Square while Nikki watched. A friend recorded her reaction, and they uploaded it to YouTube.

The video exploded, gaining 4.6 million likes. Their wedding video did even better, with 8 million likes.

Nikki’s Early Life

Nikki was born in Sudan and moved to Australia in 1994. She grew up in Melbourne, where her family valued privacy and hard work.

Her father worked tirelessly to pass his veterinary science exam, taking the test 10 times.

When Nikki became famous, her family was hesitant to be involved. Her father was once recognized by fans on a train, which surprised him.

Facing Public Scrutiny

As their channel grew, so did public discussions about Nikki’s skin color and their interracial marriage.

Jamie once had a doctor assume he wasn’t Ava’s father, which he found surprising. Nikki also received negative comments on her beauty channel.

Their Divorce

Balancing social media and privacy became harder, and in 2023, Jamie announced their separation.

Reports say they split in 2019 but only finalized their divorce four years later.

Jamie later shared in a YouTube video that he struggled emotionally after their split. Nikki, however, denied his claims and said he was misrepresenting their story.

Today, Jamie and Nikki live separately, focusing on their own lives. Jamie continues his work online, while their daughters, now 6 and 8, remain their priority.
