L’ile de Agnes, Bahamas
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have owned impressive homes, but they took things to another level when they bought a 20-acre island in the Bahamas in 2003. At the time, the island had just a small shack. It took years before they built their dream getaway.
A Pool by the Ocean
Even with the ocean all around, they still wanted a swimming pool. Their pool area is just steps from the sea and blends into the indoor spaces. Designed for comfort, the outdoor furniture was made by Royal Botania and Henry Hall.

A Space to Connect with Nature
One of Faith Hill’s favorite spots is the open-air living space near the pool. She loves how the fresh air flows through, making it feel peaceful and relaxing. The blue accents in the decor match the ocean and sky, creating a calm atmosphere.

A Long and Challenging Process
Building their island home was no small task. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw had to create basic infrastructure like housing for workers, running water, and electricity. McGraw once said, “We basically had to build a little town.”

Private and Peaceful Corners
While they love having guests, their home also includes private spots where they can enjoy quiet moments. Hill once said, “As long as our family is together, we can make a home anywhere.” Having a private island certainly helps!

A Thoughtful Design
They transformed the small shack into an eight-pavilion home with thatched roofs, surrounded by tropical landscaping. Their architect, Bobby McAlpine, designed a space that feels natural and in tune with their surroundings.

Years in the Making
It took nine years to complete their home. They wanted a bright and airy space that blended with the island’s natural beauty. The design includes bleached wood and soft colors inspired by beachside living.

A Home for Family and Friends
Another pavilion serves as a gathering space with seating for eight, perfect for meals and conversations. The design makes it easy to enjoy time together while escaping the midday heat.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have built a true retreat—one that took time, effort, and careful planning.
