A model has claimed to be the “world’s most wanted girlfriend,” after receiving 5,000 applications from men who want to date her. Vera Dijkmans, who lives in London, surprised her followers by announcing on social media that she was accepting applications from men for a chance to be her boyfriend.

Despite the large number of responses, the 27-year-old said it wasn’t easy to find someone who met her strict criteria. Out of thousands, only three men made the cut. However, no romance has developed for Vera, who has over seven million followers online.
Vera has now shared advice for women who are struggling to find the right partner. She emphasizes the importance of respecting yourself and setting clear boundaries. She believes men should plan proper dates, like dinner or activities together, rather than only texting late at night. “If a man doesn’t suggest a good first date, I won’t go,” she explained. She also values gifts, like a bouquet of flowers, which show that a man values her time and company.

She also warns women to be cautious of certain red flags. For instance, men who only text after 10 pm show disrespect, and promises that are never kept are also concerning. Hygiene and finances are also crucial factors in her decision-making process.
Despite backlash from some women, including a family member who disapproved of her boyfriend application idea, Vera said she has plenty of support. She acknowledged receiving attention from men, but also pointed out that being admired isn’t the most important thing in life.

Vera believes she attracts men because she is “authentically herself.” She’s not willing to settle for anything less than a man who is intelligent, funny, responsible, and preferably wealthy. Although she has paused her search for a boyfriend, she’s keeping her options open and remains selective, prioritizing her own needs and happiness.
