Lyndsey, a 24-year-old from the UK, has faced harsh online criticism after sharing pregnancy photos with her husband, Jonathon. Many people wrongly assumed she was a child because of her youthful appearance. As a child, Lyndsey had a rare type of cancer that affected her growth, making her look much younger than her actual age.

Now a mother of two, she first experienced intense backlash when she announced her pregnancy online. Many accused Jonathon of being in an ‘age gap relationship’ without knowing the truth. In a YouTube documentary by Truly, Jonathon explained that he first met Lyndsey when she was 12 or 13. However, he later learned that her small size was due to a past illness. Lyndsey’s condition caused her to stop growing at 4’10, while Jonathon is 5’10, making their height difference stand out even more.

The couple has often dealt with stares and judgment from strangers. One particularly difficult moment happened when Lyndsey was pregnant, and they were yelled at while out in Exmouth. However, the online criticism was even worse. When they shared a TikTok video about their pregnancy journey, thousands of negative comments flooded in. Some people cruelly claimed that Lyndsey wouldn’t be a good mother just because of how she looked, while others made false assumptions about their relationship and lifestyle.

Lyndsey and Jonathon, however, have remained strong. They were actually introduced by Lyndsey’s mother, who clearly had no concerns about their relationship. Growing up, Lyndsey had struggled with confidence because of her illness. She lost her hair to chemotherapy, and dating was difficult. But when she met Jonathon at 16, and he was 21, they quickly connected after she shared her story with him.
Doctors told Lyndsey that she would struggle to conceive and might need IVF, but she became pregnant naturally. She carried her first son, Flynn, for 39 weeks before having a planned C-section. Now, with two children, she shares her journey online, proudly calling herself a cancer survivor and the mother of two miracle babies.
