Fox News Star Tyrus Talks About The Price Of Fame And Fatherhood With 6 Children In A Blended Family

George “Tyrus” Murdoch, a former wrestling champion and Fox News commentator, has stepped away from the ring to focus more on his family. He and his wife, Ingrid Murdoch, have one daughter together named Georgie, born in 2014. Tyrus also has three older children—two daughters and a son—from previous relationships. Ingrid has two sons from a past marriage, Rhett and Rock.

In a 2024 interview on The Sage Steele Show, Tyrus shared that his three oldest children were all born in 2011 to different mothers. He said that raising children under those circumstances required him to take full responsibility and make better decisions quickly. He emphasized that all his children are well cared for, with enough food, shelter, and access to activities they enjoy.

Tyrus has written about parenting in his 2023 book, Nuff Said, where he stressed the importance of respect and acknowledged that parenting is tough and no one gets it perfect. While he keeps many details about his children private, he occasionally shares parenting lessons with the public.

His daughter Georgie has been active in sports and horse riding. In 2024, she started competing with her horse, Roosevelt, also known as Teddy. She won her first competition and placed second in another shortly after. She also plays soccer and even finished a match despite breaking her arm.

Tyrus’s other kids are also involved in sports. His son plays travel baseball, and they’ve spent time together at places like Top Golf. In 2024, the family moved from Louisiana to a farm in New Jersey. There, the kids help with caring for animals, including reptiles and fish. Before the move, they even created a small petting zoo for Halloween.

Tyrus includes his children in his public life sometimes but stays focused on being a dad at home. He retired from wrestling not due to injury but to be more present for his kids. He said that when asked, they chose his presence at their games over seeing him in the ring. He also shared that one of his children is in the LGBT community and said he supports their journey fully, no matter what choices they make.
