David Schwimmer has criticized Elon Musk after Kanye West posted offensive messages on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
West, who now goes by Ye, shared multiple posts with hateful statements. Among them were comments like “I’m a Nazi” and “I don’t like or trust no Jewish person”.

His posts sparked outrage, with many users blaming Musk for allowing such messages instead of banning West’s account.
Yesterday (February 9), West made even more controversial statements, including:
“JEWS WERE BETTER AS SLAVES.”
“YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR JEWS IN THEIR PLACE AND MAKE THEM INTO YOUR SLAVES.”
People on the platform reacted with anger, demanding action against West. Many questioned why he was still allowed to post.
David Schwimmer shared his thoughts on Instagram, calling for action. He wrote: “We can’t stop a hateful person from spreading ignorant messages… but we CAN stop giving him a platform, Mr. Musk.”

He pointed out that West has 32.7 million followers on X, which is more than twice the number of Jewish people worldwide.
“His hate speech leads to REAL violence against Jews,” Schwimmer added.
He also said it was shocking that there wasn’t enough public outrage to get West banned from all social media.
Before his account was deleted, West posted a picture of Musk at an event, captioning it “Heil Elon.”
Musk finally responded, saying West’s account was now labeled “NSFW” (not safe for work), meaning his posts would not be widely visible.
During the Super Bowl, West continued posting but later announced he was leaving X.

“I’m logging out of Twitter. It was a good way to vent,” he wrote.
West thanked Musk for allowing him to express himself and compared it to a “spiritual journey.”
Shortly after, his account was deleted. Many see this as the end of the controversy for now, but the debate over online hate speech continues.
