Carrie Underwood Gives CMA Awards A Performance They Will Never Forget And Leaves Them In Tears

Carrie Underwood missed the CMA Awards last week (11/8) for the first time since her music career began in 2005. She wasn’t in the audience to support fellow artists or walking the red carpet with her husband. Even though she was nominated for Entertainer of the Year, she was noticeably absent.

Lainey Wilson won the top honor, and many of Carrie’s fans weren’t happy.

Carrie had only one nomination at the CMAs this year, and fans expected her to win. On the same night, she posted on Instagram about her upcoming Las Vegas residency, sharing show dates and ticket details. Some fans took the opportunity to express their frustration over the award results.

One fan commented, “She should have been Entertainer of the Year! I didn’t even watch the CMAs. So disappointed.” Another wrote, “Queen! #EOTY #CMAForeverWinner.” Many others shared their support for her music and performances.

Meanwhile, country artist Cody Johnson gave an update on his duet with Carrie. He had previously mentioned it at CMA Fest in June, and fans were curious.

Johnson explained, “It’s on the deluxe edition of my album. When working with an artist of her level, you have to respect their schedule. She was great to work with, and I know the song will be released when the timing is right.”

Carrie Underwood is celebrating her 40th birthday (3/10) while continuing her “Denim & Rhinestones Tour.” She has a break today but will perform in Glendale, Arizona, tomorrow (3/11).

Over the years, Carrie has built a strong music career and remains one of the most awarded country artists. She was recently nominated for a CMT Music Award for Video of the Year with “Hate My Heart.” She has won that award ten times and holds the record for the most CMT wins with 23 total.
