At 19 years old, she becomes a millionaire thanks to OnlyFans, but her parents are not thrilled about it.

Summer Iris, a 19-year-old woman, created an OnlyFans account to help her family and pay for her education. However, her parents do not approve of her decision.

Summer, who is from North America, has earned over $598,000 per year (about €569,700) by posting photos on OnlyFans, an adult content platform. Before this, she worked as a waitress and struggled to make ends meet.

She originally joined OnlyFans to pay for her neuroscience studies and become a doctor. However, she did not expect to become so successful. Now, she has nearly 880,000 followers on Instagram.

“My parents worked very hard but did not make much money. We relied on food coupons, and my clothes were always hand-me-downs. I started OnlyFans to support my family and pay for my education,” Summer told the Daily Mail.

“My parents are not very happy”

With her earnings, Summer has paid off a $5,000 debt for her mother. She also bought her a house and paid for a Caribbean cruise. She plans to cover her father’s medical expenses as well. Despite her financial help, her parents do not agree with how she makes her money. They found out about her work when they saw one of her TikTok videos showing her OnlyFans content.

“My parents are not very happy. My father thinks I took an easy shortcut to make money, and I understand his view. But they still love and support me. They expected me to focus on my studies, so they are a bit disappointed. When they found out, I felt guilty because I should have told them first. I never thought it would get this big. My mother does not like where the money comes from, but she is still grateful,” Summer explained.

Besides helping her parents, Summer bought a four-bedroom house in Florida worth $650,000 (€619,000) and a Porsche. Though she has paused her studies, she plans to go to medical school once she has saved enough money for tuition and to continue supporting her family.

Summer is not the only one who became a millionaire through OnlyFans. A bioengineering PhD student also earned €1 million from her content.
