Amy Schumer reveals the three days every year she has sex with her husband

Amy Schumer has joined the list of celebrities openly talking about their personal lives.

Recently, stars like Nicole Kidman have spoken about intimacy on film sets, and Katy Perry shared details about her relationship with Orlando Bloom. Schumer has also been open about these topics before, once joking that a scene with John Cena in Trainwreck involved real intimacy. However, Cena later clarified that he wore a modesty pouch during filming.

Now, Schumer has shared even more details about her personal life. While attending the SNL 50th Anniversary Special, the 43-year-old actress spoke to PEOPLE about her marriage to chef Chris Fischer. She mentioned that they recently celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary, having tied the knot on February 13, 2018. But what stood out was her comment about their private life.

“Yes. Seven years. We had sex. We did,” she told the publication.

She then revealed that over the years, they have only been intimate three times a year. When asked if it was just once a year, she clarified, “And birthdays. And birthdays. Yeah,” bringing the total to three.

Schumer, who has a five-year-old son, Gene, with Fischer, has spoken before about how their busy lives don’t leave much room for spontaneity. While appearing on The View, she brought up their anniversary and joked about it.

“Well, actually, that is the weekend of the SNL 50th. So I think I get a plus-one,” she said.

When Whoopi Goldberg asked if it would happen during the SNL 50th, Schumer laughed and replied, “During the 50th!”

She went on to say that their relationship isn’t very spontaneous, explaining, “We do birthdays… we do schedule it, we do schedule it. Nobody ever is like, ‘Oh!’ There’s never like, a vibe where it just happens. Do people do that?”

Co-host Sunny Hostin agreed, saying that sometimes couples need to “schedule time to get it in.”
