Marriage often requires accepting parts of your partner’s life that others may not understand.
Petkuns married adult entertainer Reid in 2021, and the couple had a child the following year. During a conversation on No Jumper Clips with Adam22, an adult content creator who also collaborates with Reid, Petkuns shared his thoughts on the judgment their marriage often faces. Reflecting on his first reaction to Reid’s career, the Latvian professional free runner said, “At first, it was like, ‘Oh, like is it normal? Not normal?’”
After speaking with a friend, Petkuns found clarity and embraced the situation. His friend’s advice was simple but impactful: “No matter what you’re gonna do, people [are] gonna tell you you’re stupid.”
Petkuns said his family is laid-back and views Reid’s past career as just another part of life. For example, his mother just wants to see him happy. He compared his situation to more serious dealbreakers, saying, “It’s not like my wife has killed anyone.”
When Adam22 asked if Reid still films adult content, Petkuns clarified that she had already left the mainstream industry by the time they started dating. Instead, Reid now focuses on creating content for OnlyFans and collaborates only with women.
Although Petkuns doesn’t let outside opinions bother him, he mentioned that two of his friends didn’t approve of his relationship and even unfollowed him on social media. However, he said the negativity from his social circle has been minimal.
In a separate episode of Adam22’s podcast, Reid addressed the challenges her career might present for their child in the future. She acknowledged, “It’s definitely a real fact that my career will affect my kid at some point in some degree, and it is up to me as a parent to try and coach it in the most appropriate manner possible.”
