A 62-year-old teacher has resigned after admitting he accidentally played inappropriate content during a physics lesson for 13- and 14-year-old students. He claimed it was unintentional, but the incident quickly spread online.
Footage showed Razif Nurgaliev, a teacher from Tashkinovo village, watching explicit material on his laptop while unaware that it was also displayed on the classroom monitor. The teacher had worked at the school for almost 40 years and had just given his students an assignment before the incident happened.

It was later reported that he forgot his laptop was still connected to the electronic blackboard. A student, sitting behind a physics textbook, secretly recorded the unexpected classroom event.
At first, a school source suggested that the students may have played a prank on the teacher. However, after speaking to school officials, the teacher admitted, “I clicked on something, and a website opened.” He explained that he was trying to open an online journal and had not meant to play the content.

The school’s headteacher, Rudania Burkhanova, stated that Nurgaliev was “in shock” after the footage spread widely. Although parents were angry, the school initially wanted him to stay due to his long and respected career. However, the teacher chose to resign immediately.
A school representative admitted that replacing him would be difficult, as he had been highly valued for decades. The school also confirmed that the broadcast was accidental and had launched an internal review.

Burkhanova explained, “A review is underway. I need to hear both sides before making a decision.” She had already spoken to the students and parents and planned to discuss the matter with the teacher before finalizing any further actions.
Meanwhile, local authorities have started their own investigation. The teacher’s laptop has been confiscated, and officials are reviewing the situation in the Russian region of Bashkortostan.
