A model from London, who calls herself the “world’s most wanted girlfriend,” has pointed out a major dating mistake that many single women make.
Vera Dijkmans, 27, became an internet sensation after receiving over 5,000 applications from men hoping to date her.

She set social media buzzing when she announced that she was looking for a boyfriend and accepting applications. However, after reviewing all of them, only three men met her high standards.
Despite the overwhelming response, Vera did not end up finding love through the process. With over seven million followers across different platforms, she remains one of the most sought-after influencers.
Now, she is sharing her thoughts on dating and the common mistakes that women make when choosing a partner.
Women need to respect themselves and set clear boundaries, Vera told Mail Online.
She believes that men should put in effort when dating, like planning a nice dinner or a fun activity.
Even though she has received expensive gifts, including luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Hermès, she says that a thoughtful gesture matters more than money.

“A simple bouquet of flowers is enough,” she explained. “It doesn’t have to be extravagant, but it should show that he values your time.”
Vera also encourages women to expect “princess treatment,” saying, “I deserve it, and so do you.”
Beyond giving dating advice, Vera warns women to be aware of certain red flags.
She advises cutting off men who only text late at night, explaining, “If he only messages after 10 PM, he doesn’t respect you.”
She also warns against men who make empty promises or have double standards in relationships.
Not everyone supported her decision to seek a boyfriend this way. A family member stopped talking to her, calling it “disgraceful.” A makeup artist even refused to work with her after realizing her boyfriend followed Vera on social media.
Despite some negativity, she receives plenty of support from women who admire her confidence.
Looking back at the thousands of applications, Vera says, “It felt amazing to have so many men apply.”
She believes her popularity comes from her confidence and the way she presents herself.

Though she has paused her boyfriend search, she remains open to possibilities.
“I won’t settle. I’d rather stay single until I find the right person,” she said.
While she appreciates the attention, she has learned that “getting attention from men is not the most important thing in life.”
