Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered at the 97th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The film Anora was the biggest winner of the night, taking home five awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Mikey Madison.

Aside from the awards, many people were talking about the body transformations of several celebrities. Some believe these changes are linked to Ozempic, a medication approved for Type 2 diabetes but often used for weight loss because it reduces appetite. Ariana Grande, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Wicked, was among the stars rumored to have used it.
Ariana walked the red carpet in a strapless Schiaparelli gown, showing her slim figure. Fans have already shared concerns about her weight loss during the Wicked promo tour.

At the Oscars, other stars like Cynthia Erivo and Julianne Hough also sparked discussions about possible Ozempic use. Whoopi Goldberg openly said she took Mounjaro, another diabetes medication, to help with weight loss.
Some online comments included: “Ariana Grande is so skinny I’m surprised she doesn’t disappear.” Others wondered if she was okay, noting her slower speech and smaller frame.
Her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo also had people talking. Some said she had the “Ozempic face” look, referring to hollow cheeks. Cynthia has never confirmed if she used the medication.

Demi Moore, nominated for Best Actress for The Substance, wore a fitted Armani Privé gown that showed her slim figure. Fans commented on her thin arms, with some worrying about her health.

Other stars who looked noticeably thinner included Mindy Kaling and Georgina Chapman. Mindy previously said she lost 40 lbs in 2023 but didn’t confirm using Ozempic. Julianne Hough, who hosted the red carpet, also addressed weight loss speculation, saying she’s never been healthier.

Selena Gomez also attended, and while some thought she lost weight due to Ozempic, she explained her weight changes were due to her lupus medication.

Whoopi Goldberg confirmed she used Mounjaro for weight loss. She once weighed 300 pounds and said she started the treatment after a woman thought she was wearing a fat suit in a movie.
