Mandy K, a 32-year-old woman, was attacked by a polar bear at the Berlin Zoo on Friday. She had entered the enclosure during feeding time, climbing over a wall, bushes, and a fence to get inside.
As soon as she jumped into the enclosure, the bear attacked her, causing serious injuries. Her arms, legs, and back were broken. Six zookeepers rushed to help, trying to distract the four bears. However, one of the bears continued biting her arms and legs before the staff managed to scare it away.

After the rescue, Mandy was taken to the hospital, where she underwent surgery for her injuries. She is now recovering under medical care.
A zoo spokesperson expressed concern over the incident, emphasizing the dangers involved and the challenges faced by staff during the rescue.
Later, it was revealed that Mandy was a teacher who had been struggling to find a job. Her situation had left her feeling hopeless, raising discussions about mental health and the pressures people face in difficult times.
Zoo officials are now reviewing security measures to prevent similar incidents. They urge visitors to follow safety rules and respect enclosures to avoid putting themselves in danger.
