A 28-year-old woman claims she has filed for divorce after seeing her husband boo Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl on February 9.

The event took place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, where Swift was shown on camera supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. As soon as Swift appeared on the screen, some fans in the stadium started booing. In a viral video, Louisa Melcher said she decided to end her marriage after her husband joined in.

“I’m divorcing my husband because he booed Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl, and I still don’t think he believes me,” she said in the video, which was filmed outside a courthouse.

Melcher explained that this decision was about more than just booing. She had been a Swift fan since she was 12, and her husband had also grown to like her music over time. Swift’s songs had become part of their daily life, playing in the background as they cooked and spent time together.

For Melcher, her husband’s behavior showed something deeper about their relationship. “[It] just tells me everything I need to know about that man because he didn’t care that that would hurt my feelings,” she said.

What upset her even more was that her husband actually liked Swift’s music but booed her anyway. She believed he did it just to fit in with his friends.

“He just wanted to fit in with his boys. He didn’t even care that that’s not even how he actually feels. He just, like, wanted to look cool, I guess,” she added.
