Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann releases ‘bombshell new DNA test results’ – 18 years after the British toddler disappeared in Portugal

A Polish woman who once claimed to be Madeleine McCann has shared new DNA test results.

Julia Wandelt, 23, gained online attention in February 2023 when she created an Instagram account called ‘@IAmMadeleineMcCann’. She insisted she might be the missing British toddler, drawing both curiosity and criticism.

Later, she appeared on the ‘Dr Phil’ show to discuss her claims but eventually apologized, saying she regretted the situation. Now, she has returned to social media with a new account, ‘@AmIJuliaWandelt’, to reveal the latest results of another DNA test.

She claims that Kate and Gerry McCann, Madeleine’s parents, refused to participate in the test. The new results, she says, were analyzed by a “world expert” and compared to DNA from the crime scene of Madeleine’s disappearance in Portugal back in 2007.

Julia also states that her eyes, teeth, and voice were examined and compared to those of Madeleine, who went missing at the age of three while on vacation in Praia da Luz.

In a series of posts last week, Julia said a “source” believes the new genetic test suggests Gerry McCann could be her biological father.

She revealed that the DNA test showed she is part British and part Irish, rather than being fully Polish, which contradicts previous DNA results from 2023 shared by private investigator Dr. Fia Johansson. Johansson had claimed Julia’s DNA proved she was entirely Polish.

Julia now says she was confused by those earlier results and has accused Dr. Johansson of not telling the full truth, a claim the investigator denies.

The second part of the DNA results was examined by Dr. Monte Miller, a well-known expert with a PhD in Biochemistry. He told Julia that her DNA did not fully match the crime scene but showed a higher-than-random similarity, suggesting a possible family connection.

The most shocking claim in Julia’s posts is that a 69.23% DNA match was found between her and genetic material collected from hair and saliva samples at the crime scene in Portugal. The results allegedly indicate her DNA is consistent with being inherited from a father’s side, which her source claims could be Gerry McCann.

However, Julia’s own parents strongly deny her claims. They insist she is their daughter and say they have family photos, documents, and hospital records to prove it. They also accuse her of making false claims and causing trouble online.

Julia’s media representative, Surjit Singh Clair, says she wants both her Polish parents and the McCanns to take a DNA test, but both families have refused.

He also questioned why, despite spending millions on the case, authorities won’t spend a small amount on a DNA test to clarify the situation.

Meanwhile, the Met Police continue their investigation into Madeleine McCann’s disappearance, working alongside law enforcement in Portugal and Germany.
