Woman With Dwarfism Braves The Beach To Show Off Her Baby Bump

Many married couples plan to have children together. It is a decision they make early on, but sometimes, people question their reasons.

Charli Worgan and her husband, Cullen, from Sydney, often face these questions. Both of them have different types of dwarfism, and some people criticize their decision to have children. Charli first experienced this after giving birth to her first child, leading her to start sharing her family life on social media. Today, she and Cullen have two daughters and over 300,000 followers on their platform.

Recently, Charli shared that she was pregnant with their third child at 14 weeks along. While many people congratulated her, others continued to question her decision.

Each time she has been pregnant, Charli has undergone genetic testing to check the baby’s health. Because both parents have genetic conditions, they need to ensure their children do not inherit both forms of dwarfism. Doctors have warned that inheriting both types could be very dangerous.

Charli explained that while most expecting parents celebrate pregnancy at 12 weeks, she had to prepare for Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS). This procedure is similar to Amniocentesis, involving a large needle inserted through the abdomen to collect a placenta sample.

She shared: “This test carries a 2% risk of miscarriage, but it is necessary to check the baby’s genetic makeup.”
