Lana Rhoades has revealed that she became a multi-millionaire, but not because of her past in the adult film industry.
She started her career as an adult model at 19 in 2016 and quickly became one of the most searched names on platforms like PornHub. However, she left the industry just a year later and has since changed her views on it. She has even expressed a desire for all her past videos to be removed.
“Towards the end, I started having panic attacks before scenes because I really didn’t want to do them,” she said in an interview on the Curious Mike podcast. She explained that she struggled to say no and felt trapped in the industry.
Since leaving, Rhoades has built a successful career in other areas. She launched the podcast 3 Girls 1 Kitchen, gained a strong following on OnlyFans, and moved into traditional modeling. She regularly shares fashion campaigns with her 15 million Instagram followers.
Her decision to leave has paid off financially. She shared in a 2022 interview on Barstool’s BFFs podcast that the adult industry didn’t pay well. “I probably had $100,000 when I quit shooting adult films. Now, I’m a multi-millionaire,” she revealed.
Rhoades had previously mentioned that she earned as little as $1,200 per scene. She explained that her OnlyFans page has been a much better financial move, allowing her to control her content and maximize her earnings.
“It’s much smarter to go into Instagram or just do an OnlyFans,” she added. However, she made it clear that her content is not explicit.
“To be honest, my OnlyFans is really disappointing. I probably post once a month,” she admitted. “I just don’t care… It’s just like lingerie.”
Although Rhoades has not publicly shared her exact earnings, estimates of her net worth range between $1 million and $24 million. Regardless of the exact number, it’s clear that her career shift has been financially successful.
