Elon Musk has now responded to claims that he is the father of author Ashley St. Clair’s child.
St. Clair, who wrote a children’s book in 2023, made a surprising statement on social media on February 15. She claimed she had given birth to Musk’s thirteenth child five months ago.
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” the 26-year-old wrote.
She explained that she had not shared this news earlier to protect their child’s privacy. However, she said that the media was planning to report the story anyway, and she wanted to speak about it first.
St. Clair also asked the media to respect her child’s privacy and not report on the situation in a way that could harm them. She ended her post with the Latin phrase “Alea Iacta Est”, meaning “the die is cast.”
Her agent, Brian Glicklich, later confirmed her claims in a separate statement on Musk’s social media platform. He said that Musk and St. Clair had been discussing how to raise their child but had not finalized an agreement.
“It is unfortunate that a tabloid reporter forced this into public view before they could finish their discussions privately,” he wrote.
Glicklich also stated that St. Clair was waiting for Musk to publicly acknowledge his role as the father and finalize their agreement for the child’s well-being.
If her claims are true, Musk would now have 13 children.
However, when Musk finally responded, he did not confirm or deny the claim. His only response to the situation was a simple: “Whoa.”
Musk was replying to a tweet from Milo Yiannopoulos, who suggested that St. Clair had planned for years to have a child with him.
According to reports, St. Clair later replied to Musk’s comment, saying she had been trying to reach him for days but got no response. However, that post was later deleted.
Musk had his first child, Nevada, in 2002 with his former wife Vivian Wilson. Sadly, Nevada passed away at just 10 weeks old. The couple later had five more children: twins Griffin and Vivian (age 20) and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian (age 19).
Musk also has three children with singer Grimes: Exa Dark Sideræl, Tau Techno Mechanicus, and X Æ A-Xii.
Additionally, Musk welcomed twins Strider and Azure in 2021 with Shivon Zilis and another unnamed child in 2024.
The situation between Musk and St. Clair remains unclear, as Musk has not confirmed any details beyond his brief comment.
