Elliot Page has shared that he had a private relationship with his Juno co-star Olivia Thirlby during the filming of the 2007 movie. The 37-year-old actor, who came out as transgender in 2020, revealed these details in his 2023 memoir, “Pageboy.”

Elliot, who played Juno MacGuff, said he was immediately drawn to Olivia, who played his best friend Leah.
“I was surprised the moment I saw Olivia. She looked so confident and sure of herself,” Elliot wrote.
At first, he wasn’t sure how to act on it, but Olivia later told him she was attracted to him, and he admitted feeling the same way.

Elliot shared that they became intimate during filming, spending time together in places like her hotel room and their work trailers. He recalled moments when they were together in a small private room at a restaurant.
“We thought we were being subtle,” he wrote. “Being close to Olivia made me feel less ashamed of who I was.”
Olivia made him feel wanted in a way that was new for him and their connection was something he had never experienced before.

At the time, Elliot and Olivia were also cast in Jack & Diane, a film about two young women falling in love. However, they both left the project before filming started, and other actors took their roles.
In 2011, Olivia publicly came out as bisexual. She later married Jacques Pienaar in 2014, but they filed for divorce in 2021.
This isn’t the first time Elliot has opened up about a past relationship. In his memoir, he also shared that he had a secret romance with actress Kate Mara while filming X-Men: Days of Future Past. At the time, Kate was in love with two people—Elliot and her then-boyfriend, Max Minghella.
