Jessica Alba officially files for divorce from husband Cash Warren after nearly 17 years of marriage

Jessica Alba, a well-known Hollywood actress, has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Cash Warren.

The legal paperwork was filed in Los Angeles County court on Friday, February 9, 2024. The reason for their separation was listed as irreconcilable differences, with the official separation date recorded as December 27, 2024.

Alba, 43, and Warren, 46, were married on May 19, 2008. Over their 16-year marriage, they became parents to three children: Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 7.

In her legal request, Alba asked for joint custody of their children. She also filed to restore her full legal name to Jessica Marie Alba.

After months of speculation about their breakup, Alba addressed the public in January. She took to Instagram to share her thoughts, confirming their separation.

“I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and growth,” she wrote. She explained that both she and Warren had worked on their marriage for years but have now decided to move forward separately.

She added, “We are moving forward with love, kindness, and respect for each other. We will always be family.”

She also asked for privacy as they focus on their children.

Reports suggest that Warren, who is believed to have been a stay-at-home father, may receive up to $2 million per year as part of the settlement, though it is unclear if the couple had a prenuptial agreement.

For now, both Alba and Warren remain focused on co-parenting their children.
