An adult model has recently opened up about the realities of working in the industry, shedding light on the surprising amount of money she earns each year.
One of the main questions people have about the adult entertainment industry is how much performers actually make. Recently, platforms like OnlyFans have gained attention for enabling creators to earn significant amounts.
Well-known personalities with large followings often make tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars each month by posting content on the platform. Similarly, top performers in major adult studios can earn tens of thousands of dollars per scene, as stars like Riley Reid have revealed.
Now, Gigi Dior, an adult model, has shared her own experience with earnings in the industry. In a Reddit post, she talked about her financial struggles in the beginning:
“During my first year of doing porn full-time, I actually ended up losing money,” she said. Despite this, she considered it an investment in her career. She added, “This year, I expect a small profit, though it will be less than $20,000.”
Gigi also talked about the potential for greater income, saying, “I’ve seen others earn huge amounts in this industry, but it’s a lot of hard work. I’m still working towards that level.”
For lesser-known performers like her, the journey is not easy. She explained, “It’s a constant grind and struggle. You have to stay determined, plan ahead, and treat it like a business.” Many newcomers fail because they don’t take the work seriously, she added.
She also mentioned that some performers find success, meet partners, or move into other careers. However, she pointed out that only a tiny percentage make a lot of money quickly. “Those are the top 0.1%. I’m not there yet, but I’m working on it.”
When asked about regrets, Gigi said it depends on the day. “Some days are great, and things fall into place,” she shared. On tough days, she questions her choices. But she concluded, “In that way, it’s like any other job.”
