In her video, Camilla explained that the “woman tax” acknowledges the challenges she has faced as a woman. “This tax is to compensate me for having a period every month, two tough pregnancies where I vomited daily, and two C-sections,” she said.

What makes this idea even more interesting is that it wasn’t Camilla’s suggestion. Her husband was the one who came up with the idea of the tax. He pays her $208 monthly in two $104 installments, adding up to nearly $2,500 annually.

Camilla shared that this money supports her self-care routine. “He pays for my manicure and pedicure twice a month,” she said, adding, “I can’t explain how happy this makes me, and it really helps during that week of bleeding.”

For Camilla, the “woman tax” goes beyond pampering herself. She sees it as setting an example for her kids. “I want my kids to know they should take care of themselves and be taken care of,” she said in the video.
