Elaine Davidson, the woman with the most piercings in the world, has over 15,000 piercings covering her body, including 3,500 inside her vagina. She recently appeared on This Morning with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary to talk about her piercings and her goal to reach 20,000 piercings.
Elaine, originally from Brazil and now living in Edinburgh, explained that the piercings weigh about three kilos. Despite the weight, she’s determined to keep adding more to maintain her world record. To get the piercings inside her vagina, she travels to America because they are not done in the UK.
When asked if she ever gets infections from her piercings, Elaine said, “No, I’m very careful. I use vinegar, and I have an amazing doctor who is very understanding.” She also mentioned that her piercings are secure, especially the ones inside, as they can’t fall out.
Dermot jokingly asked if she ever wakes up to jingling sounds due to her piercings. Elaine responded, “It depends on who I’m sleeping with.” When discussing how people react to her appearance, she shared that she gets both positive and negative comments, but she’s used to it by now.
Elaine has always dreamed of being in the Guinness World Records, and after years of trying, she achieved her goal in May 2000. At that time, she had 462 piercings, including 192 on her face. Since then, her collection has grown, and she also dyes her hair in bright colors and has tattoos.
In addition to her piercings, Elaine has a black belt in Judo and is known for performing extreme acts like sleeping on a bed of nails, walking on fire, and lying on broken glass. She has been a performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for over 20 years and is well-known in the local community.
