Mark Brayan, a 61-year-old married father, has been wearing skirts and heels for four years to challenge traditional gender roles.
As a robotics engineer manager in Germany, Mark has impressed social media users with his work outfits, gaining over 73,000 followers. He aims to show that cisgender, straight men can still be “masculine” while wearing clothing and shoes typically seen as feminine.
Mark shared on Instagram: “I am just a straight, happily married guy that loves Porsches, beautiful women, and adding high heels and skirts to my daily wardrobe.”
The father of three emphasizes that his fashion choices don’t affect his sexuality. Instead, it’s a way for him to feel comfortable and express his style while questioning societal norms.
In an interview with Metro.co.uk, Mark explained: “What motivates me to wear skirts is fashion, comfort, and a desire to be different. I’m still a manly husband and father. Even my daughter asks to borrow my shoes sometimes.”
He added, “My colleagues didn’t mind when I started wearing skirts since I had already been wearing heels with pants. It wasn’t a big surprise to them.”
Mark is frequently photographed in matching work outfits and heels, showing his unique style.
During the pandemic, even while working from home, Mark hasn’t stopped wearing his heels. He continues to rock his look, proving that his style is more than just a phase.
