The process actually begins weeks before the shoot. Performers must show proof of a clean 14-day sexual health test, which includes testing for STIs. White, who works often, tests every 12 days for a complete STI check.

Despite the industry’s tough standards, White doesn’t think porn should be seen as educational. “It’s entertainment, not education,” she said, comparing it to watching an action movie to learn how to drive.
