Paris Hilton recently shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, opening up about the emotional toll of receiving criticism over a photo of her 8-month-old son, Phoenix Barron. The TV personality expressed her frustration, calling it “unacceptable” for anyone to make hurtful comments about her child.
On October 19, Hilton posted several photos of Phoenix, whom she shares with her husband Carter Reum, during his first trip to New York City. While the pictures should have been a joyful occasion, they instead attracted negative comments, with some people criticizing Phoenix’s appearance. A TikTok user even pointed out the criticism, prompting Hilton to respond by assuring her followers that her “angel is perfectly healthy” and that he “just has a large brain.”

In a follow-up post on her Instagram Story, Hilton addressed the hurtful comments more deeply. She acknowledged that living in the public eye means facing judgment, but she made it clear that targeting children was something she couldn’t accept. “Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable,” she said. “But targeting my child, or anyone’s child, is unacceptable.”

Hilton went on to express how much it hurt to see her son subjected to such negativity. She explained that she had worked hard to create a space filled with love and respect and expected that same respect in return. As a new mother, she said she faces judgment whether she posts about her son or not.
She described Phoenix as a “blessing” in her life and reassured fans that he is “perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic.” She ended her message by calling for more kindness, especially towards children, and urging people to treat each other with more empathy and compassion.

Hilton and Reum welcomed Phoenix via surrogate on January 16. Hilton has also spoken about the strong support she receives from her family, including her parents and sister, Nicky Hilton, who offer her parenting advice.
