Plus Sized Model Is Body Shamed And Laughed Out Of Disney

A plus-size model has spoken out about a negative experience she had at Disneyland Paris, calling for more kindness and respect.

Gracie Bon, a Panamanian model and TikTok creator, shared a video on June 3 detailing how her visit to the theme park with her siblings was overshadowed by the way others treated her.

She explained that while she was simply trying to enjoy her time at the park, her day was affected by how people reacted to her presence.

Why? Because people were staring and making comments about her appearance.

In her video, Gracie shared her frustration, saying that some visitors not only looked at her in an unpleasant way but also passed on this behavior to their children.

But what exactly happened?

According to Gracie, people took photos of her, gave her disapproving looks, and even laughed at her as she walked around the park.

“I know some may think I’m overreacting or that my size is my responsibility, but this is how I was made,” she said. “I have to accept myself as I am.”

She continued by emphasizing that nobody should be treated differently because of their appearance.

“Whether you have a condition or simply look different, that shouldn’t make you a target,” she explained. “I would never judge someone else based on how they look. Respect is important.”

Gracie also shared footage showing people looking in her direction, some seemingly laughing. She expressed that Disneyland should be a place where everyone feels welcome.

“I was just there to have fun like everyone else,” she added. “If you don’t like something, just keep it to yourself instead of making others uncomfortable.”

Another added, “It’s sad how some people act, but don’t let it get to you. You are amazing.”

Disneyland Paris’ visitor guidelines mention that behavior affecting the safety or comfort of others may result in removal from the park. However, Gracie hopes for a more accepting and positive environment for all visitors.
