Ellen DeGeneres has officially moved on from the U.S. after selling one of her last remaining properties. She and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have settled in the UK.
The former talk show host, 67, relocated to the English countryside four months ago. The couple bought a large farmhouse in the Cotswolds for $18 million.

DeGeneres, known for owning several homes in the U.S., recently sold her two-bedroom, two-bathroom house in Montecito, California. The property was listed for $4.99 million on March 10, just four years after they purchased it for $2.9 million.
In less than two weeks, the 1,691-square-foot Spanish-style home sold for $5.2 million. A representative said the home received multiple offers within two days of going on the market.
The house, built in 1954 and remodeled in 2012, features modern upgrades, “spa-like” bathrooms, a private courtyard, a terrace, and an enclosed patio. Architectural Digest noted that this was the third home the couple bought within a year.
The move to the UK came just months after they decided to leave the U.S. DeGeneres and de Rossi purchased a farmhouse in a well-known, upscale area for $18 million—$3 million over the asking price.

While they have settled in, things haven’t been completely smooth. Reports say they had some disagreements with their British neighbors over plans to extend their new home.
The Cotswolds is a scenic and wealthy region in England. Many well-known British figures have homes there, including David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley, and Jeremy Clarkson.
The area is also home to royalty. King Charles and Queen Camilla own Highgrove House, located in Gloucestershire.
Amid their big move, DeGeneres and de Rossi recently marked a personal milestone. The couple, who married in 2008, celebrated 20 years together with a social media post.

“20 years together. Happy to be with you everywhere and always,” DeGeneres wrote in a tribute on Instagram.
