At 63, TV personality Carol Vorderman credits her well-maintained figure and steady energy to a mix of healthy habits, self-confidence, and—surprisingly—sprouts. The former Countdown presenter recently opened up about her daily routine, from the unusual snacks in her bag to her exercise choices and why she stays true to herself.
“I wear a good bra and jeans that give support,” Carol shared with Saga Magazine, smiling. She added that she usually eats just one meal a day, usually in the late afternoon.

Here’s something interesting—
Her snack of choice is sprouts. The Welsh presenter often keeps them handy, snacking throughout the day to stay satisfied and fuelled.
But it’s not always smooth sailing.
Carol admitted she’s not been feeling her best lately. A knee issue and the demands of writing her new book, What Now? On a Mission to Fix Broken Britain, kept her away from regular gym sessions for some time. Still, she remains positive.
“I don’t really care about what people say about how I look,” she said confidently. “I’m at a stage where I focus on what matters to me.”
When it comes to exercise, she keeps it real.
Carol’s workouts include weight training, which she says is important as we age. She works with a personal trainer, who is also a rugby captain, and he makes sure to challenge her. “We have a laugh, but he does push me more now,” she said.
She often shares clips of her workouts, focusing on moves like planks and squats.

She also clears up common assumptions.
Carol has often addressed rumours about her appearance. “No, I haven’t had any implants,” she explained. “It’s just my natural shape—it runs in the family.”
As for her diet, it’s all about balance.
Carol doesn’t weigh herself and prefers to eat unprocessed meals, do detoxes twice a year, and enjoy the occasional treat. She’s also a fan of juice retreats in Portugal, which leave her feeling refreshed and energised.
Confident and down-to-earth, Carol continues to share her approach to health in a way that feels both real and relatable.
